Published Feb 5, 2018 + Follow“Please shit here” and “Please sit here” are clearly not the same, yet many Vietnamese people say “shit” when they want to say “sit”. Watch this 1-minute video to find out what we will learn about this week:
The video has both English and Vietnamese subtitles, if you need them.
Hello, we are SONUS American English Communication Academy, the first and only training company in Ho Chi Minh City specializing in American English speaking and pronunciation training and focusing on increasing the productivity and confidence of the Vietnamese workforce working in an English-speaking environment. We are already a proud corporate training partner of Piaggio, HomeCredit, Datalogic, Sonion, Pepperl+Fuchs, Arcon-Sunmark , among others, and we would love to help you and/or your staff as well to master English speaking. Visit our very informative and user-friendly website to find out more about us: www.sonus-vn.com
Our daily English speaking training video lesson series aims to help Vietnamese people overcome the most challenging English pronunciation and speaking problems they typically have. Each week we will cover a particular problematic sound or sound pair and with the help of short (3-5 minutes long) videos every day, from Monday to Sunday, you will:
find out the typical Vietnamese problems with the sound(s) - Monday learn the correct pronunciation using American English – Tuesday and Wednesday discover similar sounding (and sometimes confusing!) words (minimal pairs) and the rules of spelling – Thursday practice the problematic sound(s) with word games – Friday finally master the sound(s) by practicing with sentences – Saturday and SundaySo make sure you follow the lessons every day and stay with us on this exciting journey for all 10 weeks (approximately until the end of April 2018).
If you can’t wait to see all of the videos, the entire Sonus training video library with more than 150 videos can be found here: Complete training video library
